Your creator loves you, made you holy, and has always protected you. Follow the good road in peace, and may God's blessing remain with you always." [1] How foreign these words seem, next to Jesus’s from today’s gospel: “Those who are ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of them the Son of Man will also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels” (Mark 8:38).
